I will love you anyway, even if you cannot stay, I think you are the one for me, here is where you ought to be, I just want to satisfy you, though you're not mine I can't deny you, don't you hear me talking baby? Love me now or I'll go crazy. Oh sweet thing, don't you know you're my everything? - Sweet Thing, Chaka Khan You may have guessed by now that I am an avid DIY'er. Well this weekend's experiment was with the Caramel Moisture Treatment. This is a pre-poo treatment that is supposed to leave your hair softer and very moisturized. Since Saturday is my wash day I decided to try it out. There are several versions of this concoction on the internet and below is the one I used. Overall I did like it, my hair is definitely softer, I'm just not so sure if it's more moisturized.
Caramel Moisture Treatment 1/3 cup olive oil 1/3 cup raw honey 1/4 cup molasses 2 ripe bananas 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar 1 Tbsp cornstarch dissolved in water 1 tsp of sunflower oil (or any ceramide containing oil ie. walnut oil, safflower oil, grapeseed oil, corn oil, hemp seed oil, etc.) Add all ingredients to a blender and mix until smooth, then add to a pot and heat until it begins to boil then turn the heat off. If the mixture is too thin you can add more cornstarch dissolved in water. to thicken it up. Once the mix has cooled apply a generous amount to your damp hair and let it sit for 1 hour then shampoo off. You don't need to sit under a heating cap. Have you ever tried a Caramel Treatment? Did you like it? What were your results?

AuthorHello, I am Lani, welcome to my blog. I'm an observer of life on a mission to impress God. The purpose of this blog is to share my thoughts and views and mix in some interviews with people that I find simply fascinating. You may notice that my posts usually include verses from songs. That's a little clue that I am in love with music. Music was my first love, math was my second. I hope you enjoy this little glimpse into my life. If you don't mind, please take a moment and comment, I would love to hear from you. Archives
